A Couple Of Very Special Arrivals.
I have been waiting patiently for a long time to get my hands on one of these. Now I not only have one, but I have two of these amazing aquacultured clams :D
I am sure a lot of you know where they are from. But for those who don't, they are from "Acro Al" in Perth. I believe he is the first in the world to successfully breed some types of Tridacna Clams.
I have got two of his Crocea Clams, which is also the only source of legally sold Crocea Clams in Australia as you can't take them from the wild.
These guys are tiny, at about 4cm - 5cm long but they are stunning. It will be great watching them grow in my tank.
I managed to get a half decent picture on my phone but I plan on trying to get a decent picture with my DSLR in the future!
