I sometimes ask myself a similar question about a range of things ...

Sometimes we have the ability to do things, but not the time - you obviously have the ability and, if you have the time, then go for it.

I made my last stand - clad in blackwood to match our floor :)

I think I'll call it a day.... final trimming and then stain and varnishing left.

It's been a big two days... loving the whole thing though.
Ordered some soft close hinges and should have them in a week or so.

Hopefully start some staining tomorrow.

Stained today...

First layer of varnish going on.

Next will be sanding back and re applying varnish. I may do three coats but if two looks good then that'll be it.

All done!! Apart from waiting for soft close hinges it's all looking pretty good. Very satisfying project. One bit of swished wood I will sort out later but overall I'm super happy!

So I've made it so that both sides can come off. So full access to everything.
