Hi, started to cycle my new tank a week ago, on friday ammonia was 0.50, today 0.25, nitrite 0 and i am starting to get diatoms on the sand, is this normal, i thought it would take longer for this to happen, i put in raw prawn when i started it and also marine pure balls from my tank i am pulling down in the sump with live rock

OK 9 days in and ammonia is 0 and nitrites are 0

Day 14, ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrate 5, rang guy at LFS, he said tank is cycled, is that possible in 2 weeks??
