IMG_0356.JPG Brough home 5 nice small Despar Anthias on the weekend. I've been looking for some shoalling fish to add for a while.
The only resident that didn't like them was the Kole, he chased them for about a day, finally stopped and all is friendly.
They're all feeding well, although with them needing a few feeds per day, and the tangs stealing most of any food, I'm hoping the phosphates don't start to rise too much. Although nothing much reaches the sand!!

I added some Lyretails to my tank a few months ago and they make the tank look much more active! My lineatus wrasse chases them a bit but nothing too serious.

Yep, it certainly adds some activity to the tank, and it's nice that it's on two different levels also.

Damn nice job with them Dave, as others have said, you have to feed them several small meals.

I mentioned before that the Yellow Eye Kole really chased the Anthias when they first went in, but I meant to add that it was amazingly strange to see the Sailfin Tang keep moving in between the Kole and the Anthias to stop him from chasing them.
It was quite a deliberate move by the Sailfin to stop the aggression. Finally the Kole gave up.

Love those Anthias mate.. hopefully I can look at getting some later in the new setup. They add a nice level activity to your tank. Hope yours go onto pellets...
