"Gold" is being replaced as a simple Wallet. It allows the user to store funds on The Reefuge to use for purchasing upgrades, etc. The "Gift Gold" is going to be replaced by "Tipping". Essentially it is the same thing. However, each point is now a dollar for dollar equal. I have converted users (rounded up) gold to a dollar value.
Tipping a user will deduct $1 from your Wallet and transfer it into the users wallet. The user can then use that money for purchases on the site or further tipping. The tipping is switched off until the upgrade.
