It actually reminds me of @Kharn 's mantis builds, he did something similar for his beloved critters.
Just what I was thinking! Kharn didn't use them for flow though.

I would try to block off the tee pieces internally so you dont have pipes full of stagnant water. In nursing home hot water systems, branches like those with a "dead end" were harbours for legionella bacteria.

To avoid it, maybe you can fill the branches up with an epoxy or something?

Hey guys,
Haha I had already bought the silicone to block the trunk off from the branches for dead leg flow. Great ideas!!!! I thought up that one too :)
I would like to drill holes in the branches to drop the frag plugs in and perhaps move them around before finally settling on the scape.

Been at it again and it's taking shape.

Think deconstructed bare bones rock wall.

Ok Right hand side done.
Sealed at branches so I can drill and fit frag plugs anywhere. Still going to coat with fine aragonite sand.
Keep watching this space.

The trunk has flow from the Ehiem return pump. Each branch is sealed from the trunk. The plan is to drill holes where each Ocean Wonder frag plug sits.
At the top of the trunk I'll stick a tee piece and direct the flow back down into the tank.

Got two 6095 tunze to power the rest of the flow needs.

First coat done, some parts got more experimental attention than others.
But quite chuffed so far :)
