Home & Hosed! Now The Fun Begins!
The tank is home and is in it's final place for a while to come. With help from the wonderful @Sam Parker, we were able to fit it into his reliable old Volvo XC90.

It was a squeeze but we eventually got it in the car with little to no hassles.
One hiccup though. Managed to cut myself whilst lifting the tank off the cabinet. Didn't realise till i saw blood on my fingers.

It was quite a clean cut. so stopped bleeding within a few minutes.
After leaving Deer park, we drove down to Bunnings to pick up a few things (stainer, plumbing tap, paint brush)
and then it was off home with tank in hand.

First step was to get the tank in the back yard without the dog running out to explore. We managed to get that done with minimal hassle. With plumbing tape applied to the appropriate areas, it was time to start staining and painting.

First coat applied. still looking quite raw. Time for the second coat.

Fake wall painted and screwed back into the cabinet. (Back cabinet also painted)

Second coat applied. Looking good.

With the craze of everyone posting photos of their new tanks with their kids in the tank, i thought i should do the same. But i don't have a kid. So i went with the next best thing, my dog, Simba.

After painting the back of the tank and waiting for everything to dry, it was time to move it inside.
maybe i should of waited a day or so to let everything air out. Whole house smelled like paint. Whoops.

Spent th erest of today fixing up the rest of the plumbing, putting the comboray light in the cabinet and putting the two circulation pumps in the display tank.

ill post one up later today Leo :) there's an extra section there that has yet to be competed in terms of plumbing. that is where my 3 tier reactor manifold system will sit :)

Looks great, nice work with the staining and painting!
The trusty 'old' Volvo hey?!?! hahahaha, it's not that old - but it did do the trick nicely :)

I believe the T in the return is for Daniel's three stage reactor section, but I could be wrong. Could also be used to perform easy water changes?
After seeing this tank in person, I am sure it will be something very nice indeed.

looks really neat down there...things should be easy to maintain being so neat...just curious what the T off does with the return? is that for reactors or a chiller? or something else?
thst is for the # tier reactor manifold system :) the water will pass through three reactors before making its way back to the DT. and yes should be easy to maintain. thats the plan anyway :P
