Well here's the first batch of pics from the new camera.
Still trying to get the fish to stay still while I photograph - starting to get use to the narrow depth of field and have been trying both manual and auto settings with some success - early days.

Love the ATC-800+ setup, working a treat no hiccups at all.

Everything is going really well in the tank - My AquaMedic PhosphatFilter FE should arrive tomorrow (finally). Looking forward to hooking that up and see if it lends any improvement to the system.

Pics are looking great! Only tip I'd give at this stage is to have a play with the different auto focus settings available ;)

Great pics Dave - love the Chromis :)

What are you suggesting Sam? I tend to use manual focus for the vast majority of my macro shots.

Depends how good your eyesight is! Can try manual or some of the other focus settings. The standard setting seems to always focus on the nearest point, which isn't always what you want.

I looked up the focus settings and there are 3 different focus areas you can choose from rangeing from a large area to just a small spot in the middle. I guess the smaller one would help "pinpoint" the subject better. Maybe?

check out this video mate, will give you some things to try. The systems vary between auto-selecting a point, focusing one point and smart tracking of a focus point:
