    Hi every one, I have a montipora that started getting a white spot in the middle of it and it is growing bigger, any ideas please

    Hi Susan,
    It could be anything .
    I assume your parameters are ok ? What are they?
    How long has it been in your tank , Have you introduced any new corals?
    it could it be Montipora Coral-eating Nudibranch
    Might be worth looking into a dip for it?

    Montipora be careful where you establish this. In my tank I wish mine would die as its traveling and consuming everything in its path and I have no clue on how to stop it.... So dont be too sad if it passes....

    Thanks i have dipped him, nitrates could be better sitting around 20, he is growing, haven't seen anything eating him, but it just saw a big hairy looking crab, that i didn't know was in there

    I doubt that the crab was the issue. could it of been something as some silt sitting on your Monti?

    no the white spot is growing and as for the crab, I have pulled out half my tank to try and get it with no luck, he is big and hairy, and keeps knocking over the corals
