Finally, the babies cometh!. Attached is a short vid of the male cleaning his burrow. If you watch carefully at time 114, in the water, you will see the tiny fry swimming around. As far as I am aware, this is the first record of this species spawning and brooding in captivity. Now just have to try and raise sucessive hatches.

if you look closely at time 1.14, you will see the tiny fry swimming around in the entrance of the burrow. The appear as tiny specks.

this is footage from last year. I have not been able to reproduce this! Suppoose this is the beauty of moving all the stuff over from the OLD TJ's, we get to re-live it all :-)
