May I ask what nems like this cost? I saw a very big one go for $900 once. I think it was purple.

Nice they'd look awesome.. Is a tank size upgrade on the cards?
Definitely on the cards, dreaming up a 2m tank with 2/3 sand 1/3 rock ledge....keeping it nice and simple, and maintains the haddoni theme..... but thoroughly enjoying the challenge and learning experience ATM with nano's. It forces me to accelerate my learning and just intensifies the entire experience...:-) Tanks 3months on now, and going absolutely perfect. Added another fluval G3 some weeks ago too...

I haven't got a sump, so nothing interesting or innovative to show....just 2 x fluval G3 (2 x 1285 l/hr), 2 x Hydor WaveMaker (2 x 1600 l/hr), Internal Juwel Filter (600 l/hr) and Internal Juwel Protein Skimmer (1500 l/hr)... Total turnover is approx x 66 times tank volume....LOL...with a resun CL-280 Chiller..

Tank & Nems are progressing well, been away for 1-2 weeks, and thought i'd seek some ID on these ...

1. Green Algae (?) Good/Bad (?)

5. Aiptasia (?)...considering this is in a anemone tank, my concern of using a aiptasia remover is that it may affect my haddoni's...thoughts ?

Stab and scrape those Aptasia with a small flat blade screwdriver. Hold a airline tube siphoning the debris as you scrape the little pest.

it has a certain... baby poo brown tone to it... je ne sais quoi! it would be cool to see in blue light. how many of these do you think can exist long term in a tank? will they try to stifle each other in order to be dominant? do they even know each other exists?

It's brighter/lighter in person....I have a red and tan, and definitely orange in comparison....was my initial concern though, on 1st view.

Have got a much larger tank planned, but for now, the anemones are thriving, and displaying proud. Ive got lots of experience with nano's and fickle with my water quality etc... My filter and WC's are over the top, and my experience with nano's makes this journey a comfortable one...

When my tanks looks like this, then I may consider a larger one :-)

Extra pleased today with both my yellow stripe maroon finally pairing up ! They've both taken to the new orange anemone, and are frolicking through it.... Almost have them feeding off my hands ...

Hello @BlueBolts,

With your tank journal updates, please create a new update as needed (as opposed to posting an update in this thread). It makes it easier for members to read your journal.

Thanks.

Super excited with an addition of a white haddoni today...only a small specimen, tennis ball size.

Comfortable it's not bleached, as it's body has the distinctive brown/tan colouration, and only the tip of its tentacles are white... Proceeding months will be interesting to see whether it maintains it's pure white colouration or change to a brown/green . Woohoo

How confident are you that the white is a colour morph rather than just caused by poor light?

It would be pretty special if it stays white.

Was recently collected (karratha) and at the LFS within 4-5 days. The LFS is a specialised marine ONLY shop, arguably the best in WA. There were other haddoni's within the batch that were a vibrant green, so was confident all the anemones were of its natural colour. The person I purchased it wasn't too familiar with haddoni's and their colour morphs etc.. So I jumped on it. Referred the pic to Todd (MrMarineAquariums), and thought it was definitely worth the purchase :-)

The anemone has a dark/tan body, and looks like in perfect health...only the tips are white.... There is obviously a chance that it's colour may change, but for now, it's as white as liquid paper :-)

Totally agree, if it stays white, it's pretty special...fingers and toes crossed. :-)
