New Corals
Lots has happened in the past couple months and the tank went through some hard times, after the storm in sydney i was without power for 5 days, for 4 days the tank had no heating or lights (got an aerator after 12hrs), tank was then moved to my grandmothers and somehow I lost nothing!. For the past month is was sitting at my nans so it could settle, but i was unable to do any water changes and the nutrient levels went crazy and the algae on the glass was insane. Now its back at mine, all cleaned up, got a nano mag and doing regular water changes so all is good. Yesterday I went and purchased a beautiful acan and some morphs, very happy with what I got from the Australian Fish and Coral Exports at Tarren Point, so much awesome stuff. I wish I could've bought the whole store haha. So yeah, heres some quick iphone pics of the new additions and current FTS.

Glad to hear that everything and everyone survived. Well done in trying circumstances. You wouldn't know of any of those dramas from looking at your tank - looks great again. The new corals are gorgeous too.

Are you able to provide a few other details for the rest of us of your successful mission?

Was the aerator some sort of battery operated thing? Where did you get or purchase it from?

How did you move your tank? Removed fish, drained 2/3 of the water and just picked it up?

So I just bought a battery aerator from kmart, they are in the fishing section and used to keep live bait when you fishing, the brand was Jarvis Walker and it was like $10-20 i think (picture below). Not really much else, I pretty much just left it to sort itself out and it did and everythings looking great. To move it all i did was drain like 2/3 of the water, place the 1 piece of live rock on the side, leave the fish in (its only 15mins to my nans) and careful place it on my girlfriends lap and drive it to my nans, bit risky but was the only way i couldve done it. When i got it back i did a 75% water change because i wasnt able to do any for a month, and then on the weekend i did another and will be doing about 20-25% changes every week.
