New Critters
I just discovered these this morning!
Logic suggests they are likely Mojano anemones.
However they don't seem to have the long anemone tentacles.
They are either juvi Mojanos or Palys of some type.
I thought there were 2:

But quickly realised there were 3:

I actually have 6 Mojanos which i'v not killed off since they have behaved impeccably thus far so I assumed they must be small Mojanos

A bit hard to tell from your picture but I had something similar growing on some live rock a few years ago - mine were only about 3mm diameter. Do yours look like this ?

Unfortunately, I was never able to get it identified.

Yep @MagicJ - looks like them! Theyr very small - very hard to photograph. I only noticed them this morning and only because i was photographing something else. I've taken pix of that area many times & never saw them there but today they were visible in the photo - hard to see w/ the naked eye. I was using a magnifying glass to take the pix thru.

Better pix this afternoon:

I've counted 4. They have a long stem & their "face" is thin & finely striated. They appear to have no tentacles - they remind me of dainty mushrooms

I've also discovered another mussel/clam/bi-valve type thing growing in another part of my tank. Its right beside a tube worm. And I've spotted another 2 tunicates - 1 is brown-y yellow & the other is bright orange.

I understand that it is often hard trying to identify things from dodgy photo's :rolleyes

I always thought that mine was an algae - the discussion in this thread has made me investigate further (the internet is a wonderful thing).

What about something like Acetabularia calyculus ??
