I haven't seen too many 'racecourse' sumps over recent years. There was a time when they were 'cool' but I suspect that over time practicalities have won out.

Having lots of small compartments just makes it hard to fit in your equipment for, arguably, little benefit.

Your sump tank is not significantly wide which would make any racecourse design difficult.

Any particular reason why you wanted to go down this path?

For those not familiar with this type of sump, this is an example :

thought could have long narrow fuge and then separate section for marine pure but going for a 4 chamber set up old school design. going to have as follows
chamber 1 (main overflow) housing red sea berlinx2 skimmer
chamber 2 Fuge housing 2 reactors which will pump back to chamber 1 next to skimmer pump
chamber 3 marine pure blocks
chamber 4 return to tank

chamber 1 will flow over into chamber 2
chamber 2 will flow under into chamber 3
chamber 3 will flow over then under into chamber 4 (bubble trap)

oh and might only be 1 reactor as i broke one tonight :-(
