going to need a new base (done these before so no biggie)

just wondering as i have to strip the tank down should i go euro bracing with center brace or KISS and stay with std bracing

Other question overflow full rear or 1 end i am swaying to full rear more surface skimming

I'd avoid any braces across the top so euro is good. Personally with weirs I think the more surface you are skimming the better. Corner weirs always ends up inefficient and what if the tank gets moved one day and then the weir is on the wrong side...

:)What lighting will you be using? if you are using cross braces, I would do them around the lighting and where you are going to place them. Nothing more frustrating than spending money on lights and realizing they will be above a brace

Surface skimming is important. What else is important is to ensure your return line is as far away from the overflow as possible. This means the processed water enters one end of your display and the unprocessed gets surface skimmed and removed from the overflow and enters the sump. It's all about water movement :)
