Looks like a Squamosa to me , you get them in green as well,

Is the colour you see when you buy them the colour they end up of do they get lighter/darker?

Generally do not change much provided you give them enough light. They can however look different depending on the colour spectrum of the lights used and the angle of the clam to the light source ;)

Hi mate, yes its a Squamosa , Seems easy enough to keep so far , Keep water quality high and with good lighting you should have no worries , I think its one of the least light demanding clams . Different coulour available , I want a green one next time :)
