Wow that is one absolutely wicked rig and setup!! I think I need to go and clean up haha

cheers @Wrangy it had taken a long time to build. over 25 hours just to sleeve the psu and extend some of the power wires. let alone program the cnc machine and make the case and assemble the case and all the water cooling plus pump and pipes and blocks and so on. was a massive job but well worth it.

Yeah I'd imagine that would have taken ages! It took a good few hours to build mine (including a few cuts here and there) but something awesome is always worth it! You should be massively proud of it @roamin!!

lol dave, its good to hear others that have played around like yourself, i talk to any of my friends about this stuff now days and they look at you stupid. they have no idea.

my father got into pc's for me as he knew there would be a massive market in it. he also told me to work in the plastics industry as in time everything will go plastic. he was right on both parts. needless to say i work in the plastics industry too. but that was a silly move lol.

ps: still waiting for rics on your site hahaha.
Hahah, there ain't much money in computers unless you're a manager, code monkey or DBA these days.
Saturation of people prepared to work minimum wage, too many kids doing IT certs at TAFE who can afford to live on sub $40k a year wages and little value left in the experience experienced techs have unless they're going for management roles has pretty much fucked that up as an industry worth getting into. If you're lucky, you might make it into an organisation that doesn't pay minimum wage, does rely on you having real experience, and occasionally might give you some opportunities to do something useful.

Either specialise or go become a plumber or an electrician. I had plans on becoming a psychologist... seriously.. should have stayed that course!

Rics... hmm... 6 babies growing along nicely at the moment ;)

completely agree with all of it. i had the local shop ask me to work for them. i laughed. i said as long as you pay me what i already earn and dont work weekends he basically said no chance and laughed. i walked away. you want a quality worker, than pay for it.

baby rics! sweet!!

agree 64 player servers are the bomb. loved bf3! bring on bf4.

i also dont like the auto aim shit consoles have due to the fact playing with 2 little sticks sucks ass in competive gaming.
