Incredible view from the wedding ceremony :)
Hardest day to shoot with it raining in the morning then full bright sun, then overcast, then bright sun again.. everyone sweating and squinting. But what an awesome day it ended up being!!

Dont you love it with a guest walks in front to take a picture.
Still love the pic though.

Everyone outside. Felt sorry for the couple standing in the hot sun. Hardest thing to exposure and get the lighting correct.

OK I have a confession to make. I love big bold beautiful eyes. I should make a post one day of all my collection.

No editing to the eyes or skin at all for the next three pics. They really do have big bold beautiful eyes!!!!!

Yup no editing done to the eyes at all.

Dont you love wedding guests with their cameras. Check out the person behind the bride. All 5 shots with him popping in and out.. and I guess the guests on the side with digi cams.

Just under a second exposure. Gonna be doing more of these series soon. Thinking of heading into the city and experimenting with car lights.

I haven't been on here in ages.

Thanks for the kind words. Well if your subject are beautiful ladies then I guess its more beautiful than my tank lol..
Nope dont use the back focus button. I manually choose my focus points and always focus on the eyes when possible.

Been an extremely busy month and haven't posted anything lately.

Photographed 5 weddings in the past 3 weeks!!!

Just some randoms and teasers from the days:

One of the biggest challenges I have found with weddings is turning a boring location into something usable. Basically just weeds and grass growing in this park but still looks nice.
Do you usual tight close up smiley/lovey shots.. but then the bigger landscape shots.. what do you do? Just find an interesting angle that you wouldn't normally think off.
So I got this shot below.. Makes weeds looks sexy lol

Sometimes just taking a simple pic in the middle of the photo can be effective:

Love taking Mehendi shots:

ai575.photobucket.com_albums_ss200_sidd_rishi_IMG_7335_resize.jpg

Sometimes you gonna come across videographers who use flood lights. Nothing you can do about it:

ai575.photobucket.com_albums_ss200_sidd_rishi_IMG_9654_resize.jpg

Biggest example was when I shot a wedding in India: http://sidd-rishi.com.au/blog/2/overseas/highlights-from-my-cousins-wedding/
Tho I do find that sometimes it can help, but just hate the colour cast you get.

If you dont get in there you will miss out on lots of key shots.
Basically the brides side of the family demanding money for his shoes. Gets pretty funny :) Oh and check out the video guy in the back nearly falling over lol.

Love your shots :worship

Indian weddings sure make most western weddings look drab!

Man drawing on that Mehendi must take a bit of skill and patience!!

Cheers Sarg :)

Indeed putting mehendi on requires some great skill. The best I have seen was when I went to Agra (india) to photograph a wedding. This little kid (probably 10 years old) did some seriously incredible work. I was just blown away at his talent.

Here is some of his work plus his dads I think.. There were a few of them that night.
