I put in 20kg of araganite substrate which is really just for aesthetics. Hopefully I can find a good position for the powerheads as the substrate moves fairly easily.
The cycle is at about day 14 now. Ammonia is 0.5, 0 Nitrite and 0.5 Nitrate. I think I am getting Nitrate because of the Zeovit cycle. Phos is at 0.25 which is to be expected with all the particles still in the water.

I've thought about the "minimalistic" look but haven't got the kahuna's to do it.

Looking good so far. You going to run more lights in each end or just a central unit to bring focus to the middle of the tank (and keep the glass cleaner)

That is just a spare LED unit I have rigged up over the tank because the rest of the lights are over my 4ft for now.
When its all back together Ill have about 100w more LED than before.

Pyramid and sphinx sounds great, you're already got the sand.

I explained it more in my other thread but basically I wasn't getting the results I wanted. Tried some things over the course of 1.5 years and wasn't happy so I just started over. Plus its fun :D

So far, so good with the substrate. It is holding up against the flow much better than I thought.
I have been slowly ramping up the powerheads and they are at 30% on wave/pulse at the moment. If the substrate stays put at around 60% power then I will be happy.

I got a 0 ammonia reading this morning so I will give it a few days and stick a few corals in there and hopefully in a couple of weeks I can add some fish back.
