Tanks Wet!
after a few months! and a trip to africa , the tank is finally wet and a week out from finishing its cycle!
so whats been done to the tank since the start!
i have taken one of the baffles out of the back so that a brand new tunze 9001 comline skimmer would fit perfectly , i didn't want to go down the path of putting a stock skimmer or the ghost skimmer innovative marine supplied , and i'm so glad i did , the tunze is really quite and its skimmate is ridiculously good for such a small unit , another thing that was purchased and added was a smart ato , had to cut out a square of vinyl in the back of the tank so that the sensor would work!
Filled the whole back filtration section with 1l of marine pure biospheres! , have also upgraded the pump to a sicce syncra silent 1.0 which is dead silent , italian made and a lot better than the innovative marine stock pump!
Another thing that was recently added was the innovative marine desktop reactor , that i'm running the new all in one biopellets in and really seeing a big difference then just normal biopellets! (been using them on my 6ft tank and very happy with the outcome) i ordered caribsea hawaiian black sand , should arrive soon, for the time being its going to be bare bottom! another thing that was purchased was two custom caddy media baskets and lucky last , i purchased around 5kg of florida reef rock from my good mate billy at starfire aquatics! all stuck together , took me a few hours but here is the final product!
