I've decided that I am guilty of stalking other peoples tank journals, I think its time I shared my tank.

I have kept marine in the past and pestered these forums with questions, this will be the story of my new Mini Reef.

I purchased the tank on the 25th of june 2015, had to make a few modifications before I got it wet.

• Extend the Durso line so its slightly below the sump water level.
• Paint black Background.
  
• Swap the light/heater/pump/skimmer (Sold already)
• Make mount for the new light.

This was all complete by the 27th, Played with scape for a day and aquakneaded it together

Tank was filled as of the 28th and here is how it looks today.

I got it for a very good price! after i sold the light/heater/pump/skimmer i only really paid $200 for the tank, stand and sump! not bad for a starphire cube.

I love small reef tanks, even my scratched all to hell 130D I love. I've been looking for another 250l cube for my clowns and ritteri.
Back in the 80s they said you couldn't keep a tank smaller than 100l. I set up an Eng's system with just water changes and a small powerhead in a 40l, Elegance corals never looked so good, lol.
That was a hell of a deal on that tank mate, they're $900 new in England!

So tanks running well, Diatom bloom has come and gone, Introduced some livestock on the 15th

Nassarius Snail x3
Turbo Snails x10

Pink birdsnest frag
Green dallas frag
2 headed gold torch
2 headed metallic green torch

Nitrates are still high, will do another water change this week.
Have decided on the Reef octopus 500 SSS skimmer, should help the nitrates when I get that installed.
