The Fun Part Begins
Not much progress lately, there's been abit of a delay with some hardware. I managed to snap up this bad boy rock work, it's been sitting in the rain for a couple days and drying out. I'll be jazzing it up some more. Here comes aquakneadit and super glue.

Thanks to Reef Geeks for delivering fresh sea water today. Top service and water quality. I'll be back :)

Water in and the cycling has started!! Exciting times!

Water abit dusty because of the sandbed. It'll clear up soon.

Using existing rock to seed the new tank. Isolating it to keep the any unwanted pests out.

Good idea on the rock and I love that tank!!! Back in the 80s the Florida rock we got was LOADED with mantis shrimp. Needless to say, my triggers ate quite well and grew VERY fast. You can never be too careful when it comes to live rock, take it from me, it's a pain in the ass to get stuff out rather than keeping it out.

We're always learning from our past experiences. As far as I know my existing rock only have your usual bristles, copepod, fireworms, etc.

Looking good, love the plan with the live rock in the sump. I've also concluded that I would rather control what goes in the tank and what doesn't ...

What is with the rock zip tied to a tube?
That's just a temporary return tube tied down so the hose can't move around. the Loc Line should be here today.
