[The Reefuge]

Hello everyone,

A few hours ago I received final word on the sale of LavaPixel Networks (the mother site of The Reefuge) which has been in talks for the past few months. Although we can not disclose all terms of the sale, there are a few which I would like to share with the community.

I, as well as current staff will be remaining in our positions. The day to day work will still be in the hands of the moderators and I will be overseeing the direction of future projects. Community feedback will also be looked in to for future features of The Reefuge.

All accounts will have the option to be linked to your Google account. This will also allow you to browse The Reefuge via a dedicated Android/iPhone app which will appear in the market shortly.

In the next few months we will be experimenting with programs that will allow you to control your tank via mobile/google glass. I can not elaborate too much about these projects but I am happy to say that they are in the works.

I am sure a lot of you will have a lot of questions and I will try to answer them as best I can.

Shame that it's been sold to a global giant but at least this forum is moving on with the times. Glad to see an app will be available shortly will make the reefuge even easier to use!
