Hi guys. I have a 30L nano and was just wondering if the is any fresh water I can buy from coles, woolies etc that would be ok to top off tank with. Thanks :)

I believe you can get demineralised water from the laundry section - its supposed to be for ironing I think. Its an expensive option - works out to about 1 dollar per litre. Your best option is to go to your local aquarium store with a 25 litre container and buy it there. I'm pretty sure its about $5 per 25 litres or something along those lines.

Just buy some Ro/DI from the LFS (its generally really cheap). Ask them about it.
If not, find someone who lives near you who wouldnt mind making you some. You'd be topping off like 3L a week at most, so a 25L container would last you ages..

A friend told me that My LFS sells mixed saltwater for 7.50 for 20L I assume they would use ro/di water but I will ask them. How long does ro/di water keep for and best way to store it as 20l will last me a long time for just topping off evaporated water. Thanks for the help

All good mate. I went to LFS the sell ro/di water at $5 for 20L and Red Sea coral pro saltwater for $7.50 for 20L so I'll get all my water from there
