i took the filter out that came with the tank and took the hood off. i put a hob filter on after modifying it a little and must say its working really well the water is crystak clear and no micro bubbles that i had with the old filtrr. i got a little zoa rock today and noticed i have another zoa or paly growing on my live rock that i didn't notice before. still waiting for my new light then i will be adding some more zoas and some euphyllia's :)

Lol just realised after looking at pic that there is a little morph on the end of the rock haha so dumb

You have the same tank I started out with, I miss that thing. Pics of the mod?

No I didn't take any pics I just took the carbon pad and bio plate thing out cut the sides of the carbon pad so it would slide down the front of the filter where the water comes out then filled the back with live rock. I got the tank as trade in on some of my old fish so it didn't cost anything. But it is starting to get there
