Very Long Time Between Updates.
Well hello again, been very slack with updates also been a long year yet again.
I had added a pair of eppaulette Sharks month after the cycle finished but they only lasted 4 days,

Only thing I could put it down to was I had a heater in the sump which had moisture in it.
So low level voltage leak is the thought.
I must admit they never moved unless disturbed ,

The hydra 26's made a huge difference to the tank in all areas inc growth of rock etc.

The magnifica has taken off, and is at least 15" diameter now. image.jpeg

I did get another eppaulette which is now almost 13" long, has been going great with feeding by hand,

As can see in that pic had a large algae outbreak which has now grown itself out ,

Had a very healthy harlequin tusk,
Which jumped out the back of the tank one night,

He had now been replaced with another tusk but smaller in size and hood has been jump proofed.

Picked up fox face and assorted other fish from a member which are doing very well,

Just added rabbit fish which is the largest fish in the system and as placid as they come.

Is always fun and frustrating at the same time.

The future will hold 2 more additions
1 is either another eppaulette or maybe even port Jackson.

And a dog face puffer after that livestock is complete.

Thanx for looking in.

If you read, the tank was a month after its cycle so was technically 4 months old,
As I cycle tanks for 3 months.

Rob, thanks for the update.

How are you finding the maintenance required for an 8 footer?
Hey Magic,
Honestly it's been pretty basic so far,
Approx 200l water change every 4 weeks,
Thing I didn't count for was filter socks blocking up so quickly,
Should of ordered more as i was setting up,
But they are changed weekly and skimmer is only really needing to be done fortnightly now.

Going to merge my 4ft livestock into it slowly and close the 4ft down to re arrange lounge room,
