I'll never forget when I first saw the suggestion about opening windows to effect PH. I drove my ex nuts, locking everything up one day and opening everything the next. I had to test it but I seemed to open everything on the coldest days.
I was amazed at the difference. On this new build my skimmer will be drawing fresh cool air from under the house. Some airline, a discreet hole and grommet in the skirting board, all good. The reason for going under the house is that Vic is a place of extremes and runs of 40C+ during summer are not uncommon, especially where I live. Winter temps of zero are also not uncommon out here in the sticks so being under the house flattens out some of the extremes. An air stone on each airline acts as a dust and ant filter.
