Maybe time to change out the carbon..... I'll get back to you when I get my head round this...

It sat on 7 for months last time I had the calcium reactor dialled in.... Once it was up to 11.
I think it was around 8.4 a few weeks ago.

cheers mate, grew it from a 50 cent size piece from Oceanarium, in fact it was not even a size that he usually sells but I was lucky enough to get it at the time.

Mate , you prob spot on the money there.
I am no longer running a chiller.
I bought one and it failed after 20 hours of use and was out of warranty as I had it for two years.
Too tight to get another chiller.

It was very hot in melbourne yesterday, sydney was hot too wasn't it? With the temp rising the O2 drops and alk changes which then affects Ca+ etc, but once it returns to normal temp everything will return to normal.

Yep heat definitely is a pain in the ass with bird nest. Had a frag going great guns until this week and now the tips had a little RTN on them but now okay.
