What's Your Day Job?
Hey all!

In the interest of getting to know you all better, I want to find out what the member on here do for a at job!

I'll start!

I'm a patent analyst for a company called GenericsWeb! We provide accurate, comprehensive and reliable reports about the patent literature (internationally legally binding protective documents) surround drugs. What happens is a generic drug companies approach us looking to develop a generic drug, we then conduct a comprehensive search of patents, identify relevant patents and then provide a comment in which the client then reads.

So that's me!

I'm not ashamed to say I fucked up the initial estimation of the mass 37 years ago......I mean come on, its paid for my corvette and given me at least another 15 years pouring over data that will take the next year to arrive
I'm with stupid.gif

Y'all have some interesting sounding jobs...NASA!! That Pluto mission is pretty awesome!

When I'm jobbing, I'm a veterinary technician (or veterinary nurse, if you prefer). My job description could read as follows: radiologist, anesthesiologist, general nurse practitioner, lab tech, grief counselor, receptionist, customer complaint department and/or public relations, financial manager, cat wrangler and janitor. I've been doing this for almost 30 years....that's a lot of getting peed on, bitten, scratched and yelled at! (but believe it or not, I love what I do)

I run two small businesses.
One is an IT company, doing the usual. Service, Sales, Repairs ..ect
Second is in security. Started out as an Australian Distributor for Dedicated Micros, then after 5 years, we got into the game of installs as there were way to many cowboys about.

IT business has been going for 20 years, Security has been running for 11 years.
I'm 35.

I started out as a steely eyed freedom fighter with the Kung Fu grip, then I became a master tool and die maker. 5 years ago I decided getting pinned against the wall in the shop by 10,000kg pieces of metal sucks, lol. Got back into reef tanks 4 years ago and 2 years ago I started importing again. Within the year we'll open a retail shop.

I have an update lol.

No longer a patent analyst. But instead,

Studying my PHD. In the development of new pain killers, that target the same system as things like Valium and tamazepam!

Congratulations on your new direction. I could certainly use any leftovers you have.
