Which tunze pumps
Hey guys.
Looking for some tunze pumps to go with the 7095 controller.
There a so many pumps around and no
One other than guppies state weather that are controllable or not.
Looking at something like the 6055,6065,6085.
For my 285l tank.
Want to put 2 in.

Which is the way to go here.
The reef shop have the turbelle stream 6085 for
$207.

You can access the catalogue here http://www.tunze.com/117.html?&L=1&C=AU - if just one figure is given for the flow rate, then it is not controllable.
The controllable ones are given a range for the flow rate.

From the pumps mentioned above:

6055 : 1,000 l/h - 5,500 l/h - controllable
6065 : 6,500 l/h - not controllable
6085 : 8,000 l/h - not controllable

To give you some idea...

I had 2 x 6055's in a 4x2x2 and found that they weren't quite enough so I changed them for 2 x 6095's (2,000 - 9,500 l/h).

What size is your tank?

Tank is 4x2x1.5 I was just looking at the 6095"s

Thanx for the info. It makes it a lot easier to find now.

Keep in mind that you can also change the voltage jumpers in the power supplies to reduce the flow. So, with these pumps it is much easier to reduce the output than it is to increase it ;)

In other words, it is probably better to get a slighter larger pump than you think, and reduce the flow, if required rather than get a smaller pump and not be happy.

I think 2 x 6095's would be right for your tank.

I have @MagicJ 2 x 6055 in my 200l tank and they are perfect with quite high flow running at about 70% - 80% pulses. I wouldnt want to use them on a bigger tank though maybe with a third, even 6045 perhaps, non controllable pump to get rid of any dead spots and the other 2 6055's to give you the alternating wave motion.

Thanx guys. I will be going with the 6095's as I already have the 7095 to control them.

But it will now have to wait a bit longer as I am grabbing Slin1977's last m-120s that is had advertised.
