Zooanthid question
Afternoon,

Since I cannot keep my hands off zoos when I see a good one... I got some today that I would say are AMAZING!

Issue though is one has a small amount of wasting away. I havent put them in the tank ye. Wondering if I should maybe scrape off the dead tissue or cut as much away as possible or leave it.

Happy for anyone to chime in!

Hmmm. Probably @chimaera and @DavidS would be your best bets on this Q. But if it were me and I was worried, I'd probably try to split the rock, then (wearing gloves, protective eyewear and using a sharp blade cutting away from you) cut through any of the zoa that's still attaching the two or more pieces of rock together!
I'd then either keep the questionable bits and see if they came good, or just turf them :-)

HTH!

My partner walks past and says 'you're taking a lot of photos of your fish tank...!', I reply with 'Yeah, babe, new corals'... He replies with 'yeah true... surprised ive seen you at all tonight....' *walks off giggling*. :dead

Zoas a temperamental little sods, so definitely give them a chance. The dead looking ones shouldn't affect the others anyway so best to keep them all together.

Need to see some pics now you have whet the appetite :)

Could have sworn I posted this after the second post of the thread ... haha.

Anyway, very nice zoas you grabbed, even if hard to capture on camera!
