Been wanting to get this done for ages. Never had filter socks so it was a mess with scum & algae. All the algae was turning brown and chateau was dead with such low levels of nitrate & phos Shop vac did a great job, just hoping the filter socks will keep it this way now.

we have an open cabinet so every one that comes overs sees the mess, I hated it.. Just wondering if you would not survive the clean or your worried the tank might not survive the clean. lol
