Hello fellow reefugees,

A quick update:

• Have finished moving over the corals from the first tank. Going to give them a week or two for the last of them to settle in and then slowly increase the output from the AP700 (currently peaking at 30%).
• Moved the 3 remaining Chromis from the old tank to the new. They literally grouped up with the existing two immediately. So far everyone is getting along.
• Have decided to keep the trio of sexy shrimp in the DT. I have another 6 on order, to hopefully pick up this weekend. This will restrict my choices for tank mates, but I think they're worth it.

Where are you getting them from?


I spent about 18months trying to get them in Sydney. I gave up!

Yes, Thor amboinensis - there's one visible in the pic of the hammer above.

The first three came from Deer Park aquarium. The six on order are from Williamstown. IIRC they are coming from a breeder in NSW.

I'm sure you could order them and have them shipped interstate :)

Interesting.

I placed a standing order at 3 of my fav (ime the 3 best) LFS in NSW and none of them could get any. 2 of them got me anemone shrimp, which i had to reiterate were the ones i didn't want.

Im in NSW anyway, so they would be shipped down and back up. Not something id want them to have to go through......

Ill just have to continue to admire from afar :p
