Fish Crap Talk
Now this might sound like a stupid post and only my tank it occurs in,but over the last 6 months ive realised all 6 tangs will go stop in the same corner right on the sand and poop. Unlike in previous tanks where u have blue tangs etc just do it everywhere and fish finish it off.....

Anyone had a similar thing??

Shame the two puppies don't shit in the same spot

Never seen anything like this before - maybe it's just that the water currents in the tank converge in this corner?
There's flow in the corner for sure. I've seen all the coral food etc, float past the area in the current

Don't have first hand experience about this, but have heard about tangs doing this before. Seems to be species dependent, but tbh no idea why???

It's not exclusive to tangs either. In the wild, some true obligate corallivore butterflys will wait until they swim away from the acro they're eating to crap. Brings new meaning to 'don't crap where you eat', doesn't it? :rolleyes

Cheers,
Angie

Haha, it is funny how they all go there. And the thing is there's flow in all corners. But they just love that corner.

Funny thing is its oppoiste corner to where they get fed..... So really they don't shit where they eat
