Bringing my tank journal to TheReefuge, since I now hang out over here...

System Objectives: Playground for my Aquarium Computer development.
System Type: Mixed reef (LPS, SPS and softies) - Corals and fish were migrated from the previous tank.


Tank Details
Display: 2ft cube CADE HL600 with low iron glass and Herbie style overflow. (600x600x550)
Setup Date: 16/11/2014
Lighting: Maxspect Razor 120w 16.000K

Support systems:
Wave makers: 2x Jecod RW8 on wave mode, 1 x Tunze 6025
Return Pump: Eheim Compact 3000
Skimmer: Reef Octopus 150 Classic
Media Reactor: Phosban Reactor 150 with Phosguard media, when
Evaporation Top Up: Reefmate ATO module.
Biological filtration: Organic Carbon dosing with Vinegar, Live rocks and Marine Pure.
Sand bed: Bare bottom with some coral rubble at the front only.
Water changes: 10% week with natural sea water.


Chemical Support:
Ca, Alk, Mg: Randy's recipe on a DOSEmate dosing pump.
Carbon dosing: 80-100ml of Vinegar/daily
Activate carbon: 120ml of Vertex high absorption, replace montlhy
Coral Food Addition: Target feeding with Reefroids, New Life LPS pellets and recently experimenting with Zeovit range of foods.

Yellow Tang is still there, just never managed to get a good pic.

Dosing schedule.

SPS are very unhappy for a while due to a few alk swings and some other mistakes I made over the last 3 months.
