This leather started as a tiny frag 8months ago
Not realising how big & fast they grow out him in a terrible spot although looks lovely
He was touching large sps colony up top , shading everything underneath and touching glass.
So had to be chopped
I wanted husband to cut a Xmas star but he disagreed so boring circle

Did you find no ill effects to the tank?

I have one that needs trimming and have not had the courage to do so as yet.

We run carbon 24/7
We also have a total water volume of about 1200ltrs
So for us no issue
But wouid hate to advise this and have it go wrong
So research & make your choice based on your system
