There is no suction cup on this model and it holds to the pipe directly.

I committed two silly mistakes, it is too large for my plumbing and it is 110V.
I plugged it to 220V and it does work, but no way I am going to put it in water. :(

These are made in china so could they give you a 240volt replacement, maybe contact the manufacturer you never know they might help you out especially if you mention you are reviewing it for us. ;)
