Tank Build
Well here we go! One step closer to getting it wet.

Getting the glass over to my place from the street!

The tools!

It's a fairly basic tool set that is needed, here is what I used:

Pneumatic Caulking gun
Silicone scrapers
Metholated Spirits
Stanley Knife
Razor Blades
Painters Tape
Dead flat work bench (2400x1200)
Aditional benches if tank is too wide for the main bench when layed out.
LOTS OF NEWSPAPER
Spray bottle with soapy water

DT Cutlist

C-001 2 610mm 500mm 12mm Low Iron Polished
C-002 1 900mm 500mm 12mm Low Iron Polished
C-003 1 874mm 460mm 12mm Clear Float Polished
C-004 2 220mm 130mm 12mm Clear Float Polished
C-005 1 874mm 130mm 12mm Clear Float Clean Cut
C-006 1 900mm 220mm 12mm Clear Float Polished
C-007 1 874mm 597mm 12mm Clear Float Clean Cut

First off was to do a dry fit to see if it was all cut right, oh so shockingly it wasn't :wall: Only needed one shim on the left side of the front pane though.

From there we layed all of the peices out flat and ran a generous bead of silicone around all the bits that needed it. Using our finger to guide the end of the nozzle along the edge of the glass. Apologies for no pics of the actual tank (I freaked out for the rest of the build).

First off the back pane went up then sandwitched between the 2 sides, then the front went on.

The next step after getting everything aligned perfectly was to spray it all down with soapy water (Lin's 'minimaxi' / 'mini me' version of my tank).

Then clean up the outside seams and then the inside. For the inside we used the 90 degree side of the scraper and for the outside we used a rounded one.

Leave to dry overnight, clean up any little bits that need attention.
The main tank completed

Neill, what do you mean. You were instrumental throughout the entire process. Keeping those fly swatters out of the way haha.
