Just got my tank yesterday :p im in heaven first thing i did was try and touch the bottom without a step ladder and thongs. felt like i won a gold medal :p

big thanks the victor from Aquaristic who delivered my tank.

got exited and installed the rail kit and plumping :p they don't look straight in the picture but they are, i hope:p

only problem i have is this small defect in the silicon i don't think it will cause any problems but worth mentioning it looks like the back parcel is done by hand and isn't the same quality and the rest of it. the defect is in the bottom edge of the parcel of the picture below.

The next thing i need is a return pump. I want something quite and will run my tank and a Hailea HC - 300A which im hopefully gonna mount on the outside of the house level with the tank.

not exactly sure what to get. I've got a jabao. in my current tank that a bit to noise for my liking. any suggestions would be awesome.

@chimaera it does look pretty small i must admit. even more so if u stand in the lounge room and compare it to my old tank. hopefully when i put all the chairs and table back in it will look bigger :P

placed a order for 2 Jabao RW-8's will be here in 1 to 2 weeks. :P


got a few options for return pump but not sure what 1 would be the best to use on this tank.

the pump will need to run a return + a Hailea HC - 500A (recommended flow is 1200-3000 L/ph rated for a 1200L tank... when i bought i was planning to go bigger lol)

i have 2 pumps at home that i could use

- Eheim 3000+ compact
- Jabao DC 12,000 (way to big ay and a bit noisy)

other options that I've been suggested by LFS + Online research

- jabao DC 6000
- Aqua medic Eco runner 3,700 (would the 6000 model be better?)
- Ehiem 5,000+ compact
- Eheim 1262
- the black dick shaped pump that i cant remember the name of :P

also planning to do a acid bath for some of my dry live rock next weekend and to clean the rock from my display that ill be using for the Cade. im looking to create 2 or 3 boomie's with a few cave in the back my fish to have a place to sleep. wanna make it semi-open scape. the end game at present a mixed reef with prominently plating sps along with my exiting coral.

I'm tossing between getting a cade or ordering the same tank from a tank builder
