ouch that is a nasty looking hole too.... I'm guessing you haven't water tested the tank yet?

nope just gave it a clean

i sent pics to the shop, they are going to send someone down tomorrow to assess it, i might squirt some water into the corner and see what happens but at a educated guess i say it wouldn't leak now but might fail in the future, at which point it could be a catastrophe..



I'd pref a tank swap-over personally, not really keen on doing fixer uper on a brand new tank that cost that much

I can touch the back glass with a screwdriver tip down the back of that silicone, wouldn't take much to delaminate over time..

If the shop won't honour it contact Red Sea themselves, they have some of the best customer service I've seen :)
