Too busy to report on the collision course challenge, managed to fill the RODI container and flood the floor for the umpteenth time , filled the reservoir , must buy some salt this week and hit up the tank maintenance and get this rig looking as good as @wrangys - just got to push through a couple more weeks of work and then it will be holidays-bring on Xmas

I use this mate... its a way to at least stop the flood. Then once full and you realize this late, you can block in on a manual valve and your all good.

I used to do that (Hint: Put the tub in the laundry sink when filling).

Cheers for the ideas, the filling station is in the laundry, there is a floor waste right under where I leave the jerry cans to fill. The overflow spill on the floor is only a concern as its a waste of water. Thankfully so far had no water run out the laundry door
