BTA Behaviour - Reference Pics & Vid
Just wanted to have a bit of a reference point for myself in which I can "photo journal" some of the phases that the nems go through. Sp I'll just be adding to this whenever I get shots or vid of anything I think could be noteworthy. I figure this should give me something to refer to when I'm worried about any of them, and it might even help out fellow members at some point!
I think that the most important thing that I have learned so far: as long as that foot of theirs is firmly attached, odds are, they're fine :)
So here goes!
Videos:
A happy NemNem in just the right flow
NemNem starting her irregular purging. When Nem purges, she sulks for a good 24hrs. This video was taken about 3-4hrs into the beginning of the real "sag", but by this stage her tentacles had looked weird for around 20hrs. She actually more resembled a Torch coral than a BTA with her short, stump lil tentacles for the day lol

A pic of the same Nem winding down for purging:
NemNem near completely deflated in her (almost daily) "3pm sag". It's been dubbed this b/c the daily sag/wilt is triggered by the lights as they begin dialling down at about 3pm
** Note that the foot always remains firmly attached
NumNum doing her purge and reducing down to little more than a 10c piece in the grow-out net
NemNem goes "pineapple" on us fairly regularly. I need to pay more attention to the triggers for this, but I think it's on the evenings that she's been fed. It's definitely my favourite phase!! (Actually reminds me of one of those "grass heads" that you grow in primary school LOL)
