I'm with Russell on this one.. If they were added at the same time you could have two pairs in that sized tank.. Once established however it would be like throwing a cat to a staffy if you added another pair

Could i add more clowns to above setup
Have had mixed opinions
Some people say yes 2 more others say no way
Any thoughts?
how long have the other clowns been in the tank? if they are still young you might be ok. but if they are older and have established a territory I wouldnt. I have heard of people moving there scape around as to change the territory. but it still can have probs.

Thanks for the welcome.

Ken and Jen from K&J told me all about this forum, so I've finally headed over and checked it all out. Looks great so far! I'll be picking your brains, just as I have theirs, soon enough..ha.

Will put up pictures soon :)

Aquareef 300 with sump. 36x20x19. 300 litres with 70 litre sump, maybe 70 kg of rock and sand, so closer to 300 litres of water.
A pair of occy clowns, the first saltwater fish we ever bought.
1 Flame angel (tank boss)
1 Eibl's angel (number 2 atm, number one wannabe)
1 Filamented flasher wrasse
1 Yellow tailed damsel (at the very bottom of the pecking order)
1 Long nosed butterfly (Forcipiger flavissimus)
1 Scooter blenny (the only bought-on-spec fish we got and the only one that ignores everything and everyone else. Everyone should have a scooter)
1 Red line cleaner (the mastodon, as our lfs calls it)
1 CBS (the Phantom, we never see it)
5 hermits (did have 6 - amazing how quickly bristleworms can strip a dead crab)
2 bubbletips (the clowns alternate between them)
various softies and a few lps
1 pistol in the sump (we put 2 in but I can't find the other)

The butterfly will probably outgrow the tank while he awes us and everyone else, the rest should stay nicely sized.

To follow...maybe...
Royal Gramma (awesome fish)
Mandarin (not sure about this one as the scooter will be in direct competition)

Noticed the Eibls and Flame getting quite amorous yesterday. I know it's all gonna end in tears but then again, as Ian Malcolm says in Jurassic Park...'Nature will find a way...'
