Loosing the canister filter
So, a few of you may know that I've got a canister on my nano.
Over time I've basically gutted it - bit at a time to make sure I didn't make any major changes too quickly.
Right now it's got a piece of wool padding and its empty baskets, and that's it.
I'm thinking it's about time to turn it off.. well actually, I need its primer plug to replace a busted one on a spare canister that I need to fire up on my 4ft cichlid tank as it's canister has a leak I can't stop on the inlet.
Any thoughts on whether it's safe to turn it off and remove it from the nano?
