Funny, caught mine in the act of spawning last night as well. I wonder if it is a coincidence or if this is somehow controlled by the moon, weather, etc??

Coincidence I suspect - when mine get into a groove the time between spawns varies between 16 and 23 days.

Yeah @MagicJ but I am wondering if yours will spawn on a similar day to mine and @Buddy , regardless of the gap between spawns.

Also @Buddy and I are relatively close (20 mins drive) - weather, etc would be different in Tas.

Just a thought of curiosity more that anything.

Mine were due to spawn thursday as well but I moved tanks so that has put the kibosh on breeding for now I think. They usually spawn every 12 days for me

My tank gets some moonlight seeping through the curtains but I have no idea if that has any effect.

I have very minimal moonlight coming through the tops of the lounge room curtains. Sometimes I do leave them open though. I've been keeping an eye on when it's a full moon with an eye phone app. Not sure if they coincide yet. I'll start taking data soon I think just to track the spawn events. My clowns usually lay the very next day after their last batch has hatched.

Here are the eggs on day 5. This is the longest a batch of eggs has lasted so far. Most of the eggs are gone but there are some there that look kinda dark, im not sure if there is anything alive in there! What do you guys think? Best pic I could get since I don't have a macro lens.

my clowns laid eggs yesterday - will be interesting to see if they all sync up again. All the eggs look alive to me, if they start developing a silver shade to them then they are still growing.
