We sort of did this a few months ago and one enterprising member, who shall remain nameless, did a few things to entice new members to The Reefuge which weren't exactly what we were expecting - we were in damage control for a little while after that :rolleyes

Had joined another multi-national aquarium site that my sister is a member of. Made two friends on there but found that rather a lot of the community there liked to shoot newbies down in flames, rudely contradict what you suggest and flame you if you stick up for yourself.
So googled Australian Reef forums and landed here. :D
Suspect I'll find a whole lot nicer crew :)
