All phone happy snaps, so expect em to be blurry :P
The victim machine mid-Dexterisation. Actually I pulled the hard disk out to have a squizz..... I actually sold a lot of this model of PC. 10 years ago. Fixed a few of them too....
Finding a way of getting Windows 7 on a machine that no one ever considered putting it on, and doing so on a machine that doesn't recognise the Win7 install bootsector. I finally found a use for Windows Vista install media! Once it was on, there was a few hours worth of fine tuning to get Win7 functional on such old specs. Not going to win any benchmark awards. Except maybe against other machines of the same spec running Windows 7, because this baby is tuned in ways that these young whipper snappers fresh out of school don't know about ;)
The close up of the fan controller - the basis of why I've spent more hours than I care to admit to getting a prehistoric dinosaur to run Windows 7 just so it can talk to this little baby. I hate Windows. But the controller is cool..
Does that fan look small? It's a 230mm fan. And it's really, really quiet. Yes, that's the old computer case it's sitting on.
Testing to see if this whole thing is gonna work. Smoke 'em if you got 'em!
Into the snake pit... machine running post rack case transplant. Added a bigger power supply as the original power supply was a little on the low side for the extra drag. Video card mounting a little stiff, so I'm expecting to reseat that after it gets to its new home....
My bit done. Lid since put on case, turned off. Waiting to be delivered.
