No probs, for us it might be worth it with an eventual 4000L system. Although we do live literally a 2 minute walk from the beach - perhaps we need to pull the finger out and buy a pump, trailer etc.

The sulphate may not be present in that salt in sufficient quantities too.

When I used water softener salt the MDS gave specs as ;

NaCl - 98.1%
Calcium – 860ppm
Magnesium – 320ppm
Sulphates – 2100ppm
Insoluble matter – 300ppm
Copper - < 0.5ppm
Iron under 1ppm

Dissolution was very good for the salt even with the big granules, it was mainly the Boric acid that was harder to dissolve. But doing it in batches allowed me to dissolve this separate in warm water.

I think quality was pretty good measuring every thing in batches made for an accurate mix. For all the work involved and to buy the volumes you would want a very large aquarium or business to justify the cost. I bought enough chemical $1200 for 20,000ltrs just to trial the idea. That came out at 6c per liter.

Otherwise @Holy i bought a Hyundai chemical pump for $550 and two bulka boxes for $100 each its still going strong collecting 2000ltrs week after 4 years pumping 400,000 ltrs for us :D
