just went through this whole thread! wow what a setup! looks amazing!

i wish i knew as much as i did now before i started my tank, live rock i wouldnt have used is one thing. i like the way you have done all your rock with base rock. looks amazing!

if you dont mind me asking where do you purchase your fancy rics from? as opposed to a flat brown colored ric, same with morphs. its either brown brown or brown everywhere i look unless its america, which i dont know any american sites that will send to aus.

14 day cycle! bloody hell! what do i say lol i have had my tank up since october and im still not sure if i can add stuff to it lol :) amazing and well done!!!!!!

Thanks @roamin

With Rics you really have to shop around. People sell them in the classifieds both here and on Masa.

Add reef secrets, Aquariums@asquith, Aquarium Excellence and Marine plus to your facebook account as these guys seem to get the best ones in.
But be prepared to pay for them from $150 - $1500 each :). They are in high demand hence fetch ridiculous prices.

Also Reeflections and Williamstown aquarium get them in but you really have to be there on the night as they dont hang around.

A little update.

Finally got my Ati's setup over the tank. They really pack some punch, over 1200 watts if running at 100%!

Ive been battling what looks like Dino most likely due to the cheap ass Halides with 3 year old bulbs i had running over the tank for a month :(

Will be ramping down on the Zeovit soon and changing over to Biopellets. I currently have Clayton over at Reef dynamics in the US building me a Reactor that can be dosage adjusted, approx 1 month away. This will in time save me a shit loads of money on Zeo stones, Zeobak and Zeostart as its not cheap to maintain a 1400 litre system with it.

Also played around with Ozone which i have now removed due to the health risks unless it runs through a reactor, but still im not going there. Going to be upgrading to a larger UV sterilizer instead which is also a better option than ozone with biopellets.

Anyway got the camera out for a couple of happy snaps, just have to fine tune the white balance a little better for T5's.

Happy Picasso in the Gigantea.

haha @Salty dont worry you get mates rates ;)

@chimaera yes i picked up an awesome yellow/gold Hammer from Reeflections at a very good price. Apparently it was sitting there for a week and nobody had taken notice.

Its a ripping Hammer, sometimes you just get lucky :)

looks excellent! you could stare at this for hours on end. just the way you want a tank! when you frag some zoas im keen, but $200 a polyp! wtf lol. thats amazing. yet there fancy rics are only $50 as opposed to our aussie prices. some idiots want $100 for a brown ric.
