Introduction:
My name is Darren I have been keeping fresh water fish for as long as I care to remember, but have recently started up a mixed reef system.
Reefing Since:May 2012

System Objectives: To keep a stable, happy reef system

Type of reef: Fish, LPS, Soft corals

Display System:Aquareef 400

Initial Fill Date: May2012

Display Tank Dimensions: 132cm L, 52cm D, 73cm H

Display Lighting: 4 x 54w T5- 2 x white, 2 x blue

Stand: Aluminium / plastic

Hood or Rimless: Hood

Sump Design: 60L altered by Marine Plus
Support systems:

NSW or ASW: ASW

Display Water circulation: 2 x Tunze 6025

Return Pump: Aquaone 3500lph

Skimmer: aquaone G220

Evaporation Top Up: manual RO

I am on a steep learning curve so any help / advice is much appreciated.

Nice looking tank so far - everything looks healthy so nice job!

Just one tip ... that pic is huge (5mb) and takes quite a while to load - try optimising the size first =0)

3 x Dispar Anthias
1 x One Spot Foxface
1 x Coral Beauty

CUC consists of
5 x hermit crab
1 x Trocus snail
1 x Strombus Snail

corals include
5 x Scolymia (they were $9)
1 X torch
2 x Hammer
2 x Zoanthid rock
1 x Tracophylia
1 X Blastomussa
Various mushrooms
1 x catalophylia
1 x Duncan
1 x Organ pipe

Plus various other hitch hikers :)

Very nice! Keep on going with your T5 they will serve you well for your coral selection.

My all time favourite , trachy , I really like them but haven't got any in my tank. Your coral selection is great, they are all compatible.

A couple of hitch hikers that came with the rock. Two different Urchins I think. I think the one on the right is a Decorator and not sure about the one on the left.

It was recommended by my LFS to add an extra glass baffle between the last 2 compartments which they did for about $40. It has a DSB + some macro algae and all seems to be going well. :)

Converted the Bio Balls section to DSB yeah????
That was a big thing for me when looking at this system - had to modify the sump to my liking..
